AAPI Victory Fund Endorses U.S. Senator Reverend Raphael Warnock of Georgia for Re-Election
WASHINGTON — Today, AAPI Victory Fund announced their endorsement of U.S. Senator Reverend Raphael Warnock of Georgia for re-election. As midterm elections heat up, Senator Warnock has proven himself to be an effective and empowering leader working on the issues that uplift and ensure voting access, health care equity, and investment in disenfranchised communities across Georgia.
AAPI Victory Fund President and CEO Brad Jenkins issued the following statement:
“I am honored to lead AAPI Victory Fund in endorsing Senator Raphael Warnock of Georgia for re-election. Over the past two years, Senator Warnock has been a fervent supporter of expanding voting rights, healthcare access and equity, and investing in historically disenfranchised communities throughout the state of Georgia. Senator Warnock has exemplified tremendous moral leadership in the halls of Congress by working tirelessly across the aisle and investing in the best interests of his constituents. Senator Warnock’s history of advocating for voting rights reform, has inspired countless Georgians, including Asian American, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islanders to turn out to vote in record numbers.”
“Since the 2020 elections, communities of color in Georgia have been disproportionately impacted by the state’s stringent voting restrictions. Yet, by re-electing Senator Warnock, Georgia could ensure a voting rights champion who would make certain that each and every Georgian, particularly those within marginalized communities, has equitable access to the ballot box. Senator Warnock understands that, without all voices reflected at the ballot box, Georgia, and by extension the United States, would not be moving towards a just and equal society.”
Georgia State Representative (HD-101) Sam Park issued the following statement:
"It is my honor to endorse U.S. Senator Reverend Raphael Warnock of Georgia for re-election. During the past two years, Senator Warnock delivered meaningful results for Georgians and demonstrated the leadership, wisdom, and character needed to overcome the challenges we face today. As the first Asian American Democrat elected to the Georgia State Legislature, it has been a privilege to work with Senator Warnock to serve Georgia voters by protecting the right to vote to strengthen American democracy and expand access to healthcare. Much remains to be done, however. We need Reverend Warnock in the United States Senate to continue the march toward justice and make real the promise of America for all Georgians."
U.S. Senator Reverend Raphael Warnock of Georgia issued the following statement:
"I am honored to earn the endorsement of the AAPI Victory Fund. Every day, I am grateful to fight alongside the AAPI Victory Fund to make sure everyone, including AAPI community members in Georgia and across the country, feels safe in the places and spaces they live, work, and worship."
