“In addition to winning the presidency, flipping the Senate is critical to preserving our democracy. With the current Supreme Court vacancy after Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s passing, Senate Republicans have exploited her death and disregarded her final wishes to force a new Justice, a lifetime appointment, through an undemocratic process. Mitch McConnell, Lindsey Graham and other Senate incumbents have no shame in walking back on their promises,” said Varun Nikore, president of AAPI Victory Fund. “With voting already underway in most states, Senate Republicans undermine and cheat the democratic process by appointing Supreme Court Justices during an election year. We are not just voting against four more years of Trump, but against a lifetime appointment that does not reflect our country and values. AAPI Victory Fund is committed to fighting back against this hypocrisy from Republicans and will continue to endorse and support candidates who will uphold American values and fundamental fairness.”
