AAPI Victory Fund Endorses Three Gubernatorial Candidates for 2022 Midterms

WASHINGTON — Today, AAPI Victory Fund announced their upcoming slate of endorsements in the 2022 midterm elections - gubernatorial races with strong Democratic challengers. In this latest round, the nation’s largest AANHPI SuperPAC is endorsing three Sunbelt candidates whose constituents would include rapidly growing AANHPI populations. Among the endorsees are:

AAPI Victory Fund President and CEO Brad Jenkins issued the following statement:

“Here at the AAPI Victory Fund, we’re moving the 23 million-strong Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians and Pacific Islanders to the ballot box to be the margin of victory in some of the nation’s most important races. Due to its critical importance, AAPI Victory Fund is endorsing both AANHPI and non-AANHPI candidates up and down the ballot in states with significant AANHPI populations. Stacey Abrams, Katie Hobbs, and Beto O’Rourke have displayed tremendous leadership in their respective states, working tirelessly to ensure their constituents have the solutions to solve the difficult challenges they are facing. These candidates are fighters for more rights and access - from voting access, to Medicaid expansion and immigration reform, Beto, Stacey, and Katie are deeply committed to ensuring that all of their constituents can live and thrive. We are proud to be endorsing such accomplished candidates.”

AAPI Victory Fund National Political Director Shehn Datta issued the following statement:

“AANHPI voters, the fastest growing segment of the electorate, are in the unique position to make or break outcomes for candidates across the country. We are committed to endorsing effective leaders who are knowledgeable of the issues that plague their respective states and constituents. We look forward to turning out in support of Stacey, Katie, and Beto this November. All three gubernatorial candidates are deeply committed to solving the issues that matter most and ensuring their communities and constituents prosper. In the face of a climate crisis, a declining democracy and economy, where lax guns lead to daily violence in communities, and abortion access is stripped away, these candidates aim to give more rights to the people, centering justice and equity in the heart of their policies.”
